I shall re-read these chapters sometime soon. Fixing / more writing pending depending on how successful I am. Don’t hold the breath ?

So uhh…

It’s been a year. A year and two days, to be nearly-exact.
Where, oh where, has the time gone, and where did I go?

Simple, really. I’ve been gone and away. I lost all creativity and inspiration to write in late ’08, and just eventually shifted myself out of the reality of writing for quite some time. After the passing of my father in june of ’09, I was determined to distance myself from everything for awhile.

So, after a year or so of not writing, my brain suddenly turned on and I started writing a different chapter of Blood Funeral on paper. That chapter led to the next, and that one led to another… and before I knew it, I have a couple chapters down on paper. Now to just finish chapter 9 so I can get to those. I’m currently in the process of doing so, granted I’m a little slow at the moment but it should be done in a small amount of time.

The need to find a job has been pressing my mind quite harshly and I don’t exactly have the luxury to be on my computer as much as I could. I might end up disappearing off the face of the internet tomorrow, or the day after that; It’s really unknown at this present time. Either way, I’ll be writing.

Instead of making a promise (As in the past that has done nothing but bring me and others grief), i’ll just say not to be surprised if you check this blog for nostalgia’s sake and see a new chapter or two up. Hell, if I can get this ninth chapter done I might rewrite the other eight to my satisfaction. Fix some plotholes and grammar, whathave you. So it’ll be basically giving everyone a reason to re-read the whole thing. Assuming the story is still good like I was told, that shouldn’t be too big of a problem, hm?

Hey, all. Sorry that there’s no chapter (SHOCKING) out for this month. Writer’s block is a pain, and my creative juices can’t seem to stay with me long enough to get writing done.

So with that said, I’d like to point out that this month should be a bit of time-schedule changing for me. Gonna be taking a test sometime this month if finances stay in the, “Enough to scrimp by” zone, and if that’s the case… Very likely a job will be sought after. Who knows, maybe some outside experiences will get my writing done more. Either way, that seems to be my plan for this month. If things were to REALLY go my way, i’d get my hands on Resident Evil 4. That’d make things very, very, peachy. Here’s to hopin’.

Anywho.

Couple of things i’d like to point out for a smidget of your time, if I may.

To the 3-5 people that read this that I’m AWARE of, I’m kinda feeling like this blog deserves some more user-posting blogs. What i’m thinking of is to have something actually regular so people can come to this blog on a weekly basis and be like, “Hot damn, it’s that Highwind guy’s writing. I quite enjoy this writing and have misjudged it like so many others.” Maybe not that last bit there (RIGHT?), I was just quoting Garth Marenghi.

Speaking of Garth Marenghi (and not like it was planned to have a smooooth transition like that to show my expertise in the literature of english), one of the things I was thinking about was creating one big-assed message board. This might just be the kid in me wanting to explore funky things, but I think of it as a nifty way to get everyone I know in one gigantic forum, talking about… whatever. I currently can’t think of any real “uses” for the boards aside from getting about 10-20 people I know from JKA and a few select friends from real life on there. So far it’d just be a chatroom, really. I like the idea of creating a forum, because I know I could probably get at least a dozen people interested… Maybe at least 3-6 regular posters. Hah. Wouldn’t be that bad, Me, Tim, and Mr. fusspot have seen quite a few… dead forums. Heh.

Now, when I try to expand the idea… I think of giving people responsibility (and seeing how much that would probably fail, since people hate added responsiblity) to be the head of their own sub-forum… i.e., Me proposing the idea to Mr. fusspot to be head of a bi-weekly article maker for a sub-forum. What he’d talk about would be upto… whatever I suppose, whatever would interest people.

I could propose the same thing to Tim, actually. Maybe Fusspot could be the head of latest hit games (To which to make gamers everywhere squeel in excitement) and Tim would be the head of TV and comic-book stuff. I dunno. It SOUNDS like a good idea, but it’s 4 a.m. currently so who knows what my mind will think when I’m actually awake.
Suppose that’s why i’m making this post though, eh? See if people would be interested in that sorta gig. Maybe not any responsibility (Unless you guys can come up with better ideas…).

The type of people I’d try to get interested would be the likes of (This is gonna be mainly for Tim, since he’ll be the only one who knows these people LOL) T, Raist, Dusty, Hector, Fusspot, Tim, Nolan, MAYBE Fusspot’s brother, JEFF MAYHEM (HOLLA), KiLo, Skyler, Maybe Wes (It’d depend if he was interested), Hell maybe even one of my brothers. I might even consider getting Loda and Brodie in on it. Oh yea Tim, Godsend says hi.

While the chances of getting some, if not most of those people to get interested in posting/reading these forums is very slim, there’s always friends of friends.

Again, it’s upto whether you guys think it’d be a good idea or not. The uses I would put to the forum would be general news that normally you wouldn’t get dicking around your computer (Games, clan-orientated shit, maps/developments in said games, 4chan lulz, xfire videos that are LOL, movie news, music/other hobbies, etc) and just general interaction with a small group of people. Another use would be those turdy fantasy-JKA tournies I was doing. Forums like that would be the perfect place, and if there was some way to add an excitement to it (I smell an RP-theory in the making… oh my), we could probably get more than just Dusty interested in it. ohmygosh we could even share recipes, guise!

Hmm… that’s all I got. For now, we do a voting process.

Another big thing the forums could do would be a place for writers to lay out a sample of their work for others to see, get some opinions.I know I for one would put down a chapter or two of Blood Funeral on there for people to see and if they got interested I could be like, “Heyyyyy, here’s the pw to my chapters, yo” and they’d be like, “Snap.”

That’s how long it took to write this chapter. After many a dramatic thing in that wonderful penninsula of life, this 8360 word chapter has finally come out, fresh from the writer’s keyboard for your viewing pleasure! (Yes, it’s really 8,360 words. Suck it, Fusspot. smileyfaceodoom).

I’ll start this post off with apologizing for how long it took. You (The fans)r disappointment in my not getting my chapter out has motivated me enough to get back on the writing tract, hopefully for good. Chapter Eight is finally go, and it’ll be quite a nice read if I do say so myself! Cheggitout.

By the way, cats are adorable. My cat is. Though she’s also insane. If I ever wanted to draw an insanity complex from something in real life, I could just draw it out from my cat. She likes to groom herself in her sleep, she paws at the sky randomly, meows 50 times a day, and isn’t afraid to cuddle with you so long as she’s known you for a year (Or a week of feeding her).

Oh, a note. For those who haven’t been on here forever, this is me reminding people that I’ll be updating all my chapters’ dialogue stuff a bit when I get upto chapter 10, so… If you have plans to reread the story, go ahead but don’t commit your memory to it.
Anywho. It’s late and I will reward myself for getting this chapter out by getting much needed sleep. Take it easy, lickety-split.
